Bee Wine

The world’s first gay sparkling wine.

Bee Wine is a Natural Brut sparkling wine made 100% from the Chardonnay grape. It was launched in 2015 in partnership with the internationally awarded Garibaldi Winery – Serra Gaucha, southern Brazil.

After researching Brazilian trends and taste preferences, we developed a medium-dry wine with a fresh flavor, ideal for cold drinking.

Each bottle of Bee brings the proposal to promote equality, bringing the end of prejudice to social, racial and cultural differences through a tasty toast.

The product has received a lot of positive reviews from end-users and wine enthusiasts and sommeliers in Brazil and Europe.

In the beginning, it was distributed online and through wine shops. However, in its 4th harvest, it is being sold only through advance orders, with a higher ticket and lower costs.

The work

After the wine expert and chef Manu Oltramari decided to create a fresh wine with a friendly concept, I joined the team helping to build the brand.

When the wine was ready, the second step was to test it, and we launched a 300-bottle prototype. We went to the field and the product was fully accepted by different buyers and strategic partners.

With this product review, as part of the launch plan, we officially launched the product on the market at the São Paulo Gay Pride 2015.

During the first year, we built a lot of relationships with market influencers and monitored market behavior. In 2016, I introduced Bee Wine in Barcelona and London.

The result

In addition to receiving positive reviews by sommeliers for the product (wine) in its first year in the market were sold over 3,000 bottles of Bee Wine throughout Brazil.

Also in the year of its launch, more than 2000 followers on Instagram and Facebook were organically driven and a network of brand ambassadors created throughout the country.

Bee Wine was also awarded as a Diversity Friendly Company by the Brazilian Bar Association.
